MTN DEW BONG
An empty green bottle stands out as trash on the side of the highway especially if there's condensation inside it. Light will diffuse inside to make it glow. That was the inspiration behind the MTN DEW bong.
Borosilicate glass only comes in so many colours, and this green was too good to pass up as the colour lends itself perfectly to that glowing green plastic colour synonymous with little grey teeth and the Deep South.
The shape was ripe for the picking also. While I'd done a bottle with these bumpy feet things on the bottom before, I was keen to do it in a coloured glass. We also added the clear at the top as to show the contents of the bottle, and the thread around the mouth opening so it was as close to a bottle shape as possible.
We also added the metal downstem and cone piece this time as we'd just released some glass downstem options which were supposed to be super similar to the garden hose look, but they were more prone to breaking. 
The last part to add was the artwork. I contacted long time friend Jiro Bevis, a pro in the game who I'd had the pleasure of working with on multiple occasions. He'd recently adopted this bright green character and I asked if he could add some mushrooms into the mix and make it look like an asian supermarket packaging which was theme we were running with. We opted for a bright colour palette of pinks and yellows to make it stand out as much as possible.
Did you know Mountain Dew has caffeine in it? And lots of Sugar.
